Introduction
ALSE has a long and strong history of three decades successfully using and supporting the Altera FPGA families and tools, and was an Altera Platinum Design partner and Training Center.
After the acquisition by Intel, the cooperation continued but the first years were a bit complicated, with the late arrival of the 20nm FPGAs (Arria 10/Cyclone 10 GX) and the difficult Stratix 10 debuts.
The situation drastically improved with the arrival of the Agilex 7 which was in the very high end and offered unprecedented performance (size, speed, features, chiplets-based…).
And now Agilex 5 is widely available, waiting for Agilex 3.
The announcement of the return of Altera as an Intel Company surprised many observers, we will see soon in 2025 if it will provide the expected benefits for the industry and the FPGA users.
A lot to share…
We have placed a few articles that can be of interest.
Indeed, there would be much more to share but you’ll have to contact us if you need specific information or help in your project.
You will the description of our current works on the new Agilex 5 boards that arrived in our lab !
To date (Nov 2024) most of our IPs are now ported and tested on Agilex 5 (JESD204B, Aurora 64B/66B, Aurora 8B/10B, 10GEDEK etc…).
